Uniting SA West Lakes

A $50M four-storey aged care and independent living development completed in 2021 — offering 108 bedrooms, 17 independent living units, and premium amenity in a lakeside West Lakes location.

The $50m Development offers high-quality luxury accommodation in a sought-after location, ideally located to take in views of the nearby oval and lake. It comprises a four-storey mixed-use Aged Care Facility with the Ground Floor consisting of Reception, Commercial Kitchen, Laundry, Future Allied Health, Café, Retail Spaces and associated Plant Rooms. The upper levels comprise 108 bedrooms and 17 independent living units on the fourth level and was completed in 2021.

Gawler Civic Centre

A heritage redevelopment connecting the Gawler Institute and Town Hall into a modern civic hub — complete with a digital innovation space, gallery, library, café, and community function venue.

 

The two-year Project, which opened in April 2019, consisted of the significant redevelopment of the heritage-listed Gawler Institute and Town Hall buildings, extending and connecting them. The three-storey Institute building was gutted on the inside, leaving only its historic façade and roof structures, which required meticulous planning and significant temporary propping to enable the complete internal re-construction and fitout. The adjacent Town Hall building was redeveloped and extended with a 2-storey commercial office building, seamlessly linking the heritage building with a modern extension. Fitout works comprised of modern technologies and facilities for a variety of community end-users. The Civic Centre now includes a digital business innovation hub, multi-purpose function venue, Indigenous social enterprise café, a new-look Gawler Heritage Collection Gallery and Council Library, and a refreshed Gawler Club which has been located in the Town Hall basement since 1873.

 

 

CAA Higher Courts Redevelopment

A $31M modernisation of Adelaide’s Supreme Court precinct, delivering three technologically advanced courtrooms, heritage refurbishment, and improved security — recognised with a 2022 AIB Award.

The $31M CAA Higher Courts Redevelopment Project, completed in 2020, modernized the Supreme Court and Sir Samuel Way Building with three new technologically advanced criminal courtrooms, improved security, and enhanced accessibility. The project, which received a 2022 AIB Professional Excellence Award, involved extensive refurbishment of heritage-listed spaces, including the Gouger Street courtyard and level five, to create a “courts of the future”.

Our Team needed to consider the complexities of cost premiums associated with multiple stages, significant out of hours works, heritage upgrades and interfaces, maintaining Courts operations including temporary hoardings for access and acoustic treatments as well as access constraints. The project was ultimately successfully delivered on time and on budget.

Nazareth Catholic College: Senior Years (11-12) Kidman Park Campus

A $65M purpose-built Year 11–12 campus for 900 senior students — Catholic Education SA’s first dedicated senior years facility, featuring specialist labs, music suites, gymnasium, and full external works.

The $65m development was completed in 2024 and was Catholic Education South Australia’s first purpose-built Year 11-12 campus. The facility was constructed on an existing ‘brown field’ site to cater for 900 senior students. All teaching facilities were located within a new two-storey U-shaped building including specialist woodwork and metalwork spaces, science labs, music suites and a double court gymnasium. External works included a new car park and ring road to provide access, along with new playing fields.
